Operational Department Manager

Work tasks:

You will have overall operational responsibility for terminal operations and distribution offices at our local terminal in the Stavanger region. You will also be an active contributor to the start-up of our home delivery product in this area.

• manage, facilitate and follow up with the department to make sure we are at all times able to realize our goals
• be a hub for local customers/dealers
• responsibility for creating increased profitability
• procurement and follow-up of carriers for both Home Delivery and B2B
• ensure an optimal and adequate car fleet
• route planning
• support function and deputy at the terminal
• continuously quality improvement and resource optimization
• check invoices and handle complaints per authorizations.
• other incidents imposed and/or follow the management role and position 

Desired qualifications:

• experience in logistics and transport
• good IT knowledge as well as an understanding of systems
• experience in customer care
• good communication skills, both Norwegian and English, orally and written
• good experience with route optimization
• experience with Opter is desirable, but not required
