To support our planning in Groningen, we are looking for a Planner for the transport to and from the United Kingdom.

Working environment

ColliCare is an international organization of Norwegian origin with offices in now 11 countries, within and outside Europe, with a complete range of logistics services. ColliCare NL has two offices: Maassluis and Groningen. In Maassluis, we provide our services by sea (short sea and deep sea). In Groningen, where you will be working, we provide our services by road, by air, and we do forwarding, storage and distribution. The focus is on creating customized solutions within the logistics chain from producer to delivered to the consumer. We carry out very diverse transports for a variety of companies and are known for our 'short lines of communication' and a very competitive price-quality ratio. We are specialists in transport to and from Great Britain. Every day, our drivers drive to England and Scotland with both groupage cargo and part and full loads.

 

About this job

From your role, you provide excellent service to customers. You are good at steering and anticipating daily events and solving unforeseen problems, while also taking measures to prevent recurrence. You have a coordinating role, ensuring that cargoes arrive at the right place at the right time. If you have experience as a planner, then you know how challenging this function is. You maintain contacts with the right parties (clients, other ColliCare offices at home and abroad, transporters and other involved parties) in order to collect and deliver information. You monitor the quality level of service. Furthermore, you think in solutions and innovations to improve the planning and/or work situation of the drivers, and you are responsible for drawing up plans with the most efficient possible deployment of available personnel and material. In addition, you link in our automated transport management system the assignments to cars and drivers, and you give instructions.

 

Your activities in short:

  • representing the interests of your customer and ensuring an optimal and proactive service from order acceptance to invoicing;

  • receiving, registering and dealing with questions, problems and complaints from the customers satisfactorily

  • making an efficient and realistic planning. In doing so, you take into account the legal requirements;

  • administrative tasks such as booking ferry crossings, making transport orders, bookings, administration of purchase and sales rates;

  • proactively supervising the drivers/charters during the execution of the journeys;

  • close consultation with clients, loading addresses and other ColliCare branches (at home and abroad);

  • providing support to the other colleagues of the operational team;

 

What we ask of you:

  • MBO+/HBO work and thinking level with the right drive and team spirit;

  • work experience in a relevant function is a big plus;

  • ability to work with systems, knowledge of TMS/WMS/ERP systems is a plus;

  • enthusiastic team player, assertive and creative;

  • analytical ability;

  • strong in process optimization;

  • commercial attitude, good communication skills;

  • excellent command of both the Dutch and English languages;

  • knowledge of geography in general and of the Benelux / Scandinavia in particular;

  • no 9 to 5 mentality.
